Last year Google Maps released a new feature for Android users that lets them follow their favorite places, and starting this week, iOS users can also stay up to date with the places they love. Just search for a place in the Google Maps app and tap the Follow button. Now, you no longer have to worry about missing out on important updates from your favorite stores or restaurants. In the For you tab, you’ll find everything you need to know about upcoming events, offers, and much more.
There’s also good news for places and businesses all over the world. Now they’ll be able to see their followers in the Google My Business app, and actively post helpful information for them to see.
